Summary
This two day course expands on the Basic Keelboat class, with an emphasis on safety and seamanship while piloting an auxiliary-powered sailboat in fair to moderate conditions in and out of protected waters.
Able to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered (inboard or outboard engine) keelboat of approximately 25 to 35 feet length by day in moderate winds (up to 20 knots) and sea conditions. Knowledge of cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather interpretation, safety and seamanship.
- ASA101 Basic Keelboat certificate is a prerequisite
- Study materials are included
- Minimum of 2 students to hold class

After successfully completing the home study material. on the water practical application, and the written exam each student will receive the Coastal Crusing Certificate
