Product design as envisioned by a designer-engineer. Having worked in both fields, I can understand the product through the lens of code, infrastructure, & design. I can rapidly understand the domain in which the product operates and iterate fast.

Process

Research
The research phase will involve a multi-modal approach with emphasis placed on a particular modality depending on the context of the product itself (For example, if the product is being developed for the first time, the emphasis would be placed more on zeroing in on user personas and a strong competitive analysis to better position the product)

Zero in on user personas
Research any future trends in product domain
Usability interviews and tests
Deliverable : Research Report
Prototype
This is where I shine! Prototyping is a great way to get the visceral reaction to the UI interactions and flow of the app. The development of a prototype will proceed as follows:
Deliverable : UX wireframes
Deliverable : Crafted UI components in line with brand principles and design system (if it exists) & UX prototype
If higher fidelity of a prototype is requested, then we can use Origami to create a highly interactive prototype
This is where critical revisions from you, the client, are made. The critical input and revisions will be all be documented in Figma, which will be owned by the client at the end of the design cycle.
Deploy Design
This is a refinement phase, where I will compile a design documentation, annotate UI component sets, and app prototyping.
Here is the list of deliverables:
Deliverable : Documented interaction specs
Deliverable : Refined, animated and annotated UI components
Deliverable : Annotated app UX flow

What's included

  • User Research Report

    A compiled user research report which consists of competitive analysis, user personas, user interview summaries and a usability report.

  • Wireframe

    A low fidelity wireframe that demonstrates the app's user flow and key interaction triggers.

  • Design System

    (optional) A comprehensive documentation in Figma that details and lists UI component sets, colors and typography styles that would be used in the app.

  • Figma/Origami Design File

    A Figma design file that contains the annotated UI component sets, app prototype (in Figma or Origami), additional interaction specs
