In spite of laws governing the accessibility of People with Disabilities in public(government buildings) , attitudes and even infrastructure hasn't changed in private. For instance in 2019, 28 out of every 1000 people reported some form of violence or discrimination based on their disability.
And a staggering 90% of parents of kids with disabilities report their children being discriminated against at church.

Excellent question.. I have Cerebral Palsy, and and my wife has several invisible disabilities: including austism. We've both seen a lifetime of ableism I was on the Faculty disability services board, in college-where I acted as liaison between the disabled community and the faculity. I also did a 1yr intensive Disability Studies course while studying ministry and psychology
