About this service

Summary

Motion Design informed by a +10 years in digital marketing strategy and video production for small businesses and multinational corporations. I will build either linear or interactive motion content meant to be enjoyed across the digital sphere either as web-based content, brand awareness collateral, or educational tools.

Process

Discovery: We have our initial chat to talk about what you need, what the goals are, what needs to be made from scratch, and what the budget will be. Commitment: I send you contract/scope of work that details the project, expectations, timelines, legal jurisdiction, and copyright/licensing information. Once you agree, you will submit the signed contract, along with the agreed upon deposit, often 50% of the estimate, up front to commit us both to the project. Production: We meet on a regular basis, often weekly, to discuss the project development, align on milestones and provide feedback. This is often your chance to be as hands on or off as you need. Substantial Completion: This is the final milestone before handing over the deliverables to you. This is the last opportunity to provide changes without incurring additional charges for revisions. Hand-off: You submit the final payment, and get links to the deliverables, along with any additional services or assets discussed during the project. We review the scope and ensure that the project fit your needs. With any luck, after that you provide a review about your experience for me to share with my network.

FAQs

How much is your day rate?
My day rate starts at $500 a day, depending on scope. Some projects require more technical expertise or time investment, and we may need to adjust the budget accordingly.
How long do projects take?
This can be variable. Logo animations can take either a half day or a full day, otherwise, some commercial spots that include creative and art direction, multiple angles, or progressive storyboards can take up to a month, depending on the length.
What is your compensation structure
This can be negotiated, but typically, I prefer the 50%-25%-25% model for compensation. At the initial contract signing, you provide 50% of the total estimate up front to commit us each to the project. We have regularly scheduled check-ins about the project's progress during the duration of the project. After most of the work is done, we hit the next 25% milestone. You will get the opportunity to provide your last recommendations and feedback about the progress of the project before handing it off and submitting 25% of the total bill. The final stage is hand-off. Once all feedback has been addressed or put into effect, you will submit the final 25% of the total, including any additional costs we may agree upon during the production, and I provide you links to any deliverables and variations you may need.

2D Animation
Logos animations, explainers, and animated maps are created to your aspect ratio and resolution specifications. I've had a long history in arts, media, agencies, hospitality, entertainment, and construction.
Interactive Animations
Using 3D animations and Lotties, Rive, Spline, or Unicorn Studio. Take your web presence further by creating engaging interactive animations to your website or app.
