Process

How I Suggest we Work..

1. All Good Projects start with a thorough Conversation.

Lets connect over any mode convenient & have an informal introduction. I always like to keep things friendly & non-corporate so we can truly get to understand each other’s strengths & weaknesses. Then we take a deep dive into what makes this project complex, what problems exist, & what direction we can turn in to begin solving those problems. We’ll call this a kickoff meeting.

1-2 days later, we’re going to connect again, where we both have more information & context about how we can work together to solve those pesky problems. This is where we start discussing potential solutions & how we’re going to go about creating those solutions.

2. Getting some Paperwork ready.

Now for the boring part, making some documents, but its a necessary step in order to make sure we get all the details right. This is where we’ll materialize the scope of work, create rough user Flows, write down the things needed, and settle on the deliverables & their estimate delivery time.

3. Finding the right Information.

This is where I begin to conduct User Research, Market Analysis, Target Inspection, Competitor Breakdown, and start formulating possible User Personas to get a good idea about who to design for. You can choose to be as involved as you like in this Process, or leave it completely up to me.

4. Laying the right Foundations.

This is where the design process starts. I’ll begin the design process with some detailed User Flow Diagrams, Structural Charts & Low-Fi Wireframes. We’ll go back & forth on what works & what doesn’t, & how the grand Organizational goals align with what’s best for the User. During this process which might include periodic calls to bounce feedback, we’ll start to see the picture about how our Final project will shape up.

5. Making the Design beautiful & accessible.

Form = Function is the motto. People care about different things when looking at a product, they view Apps & Websites from different Devices, different Places, both physically & mentally, & with different ambitions. Designing on top of the foundations that we laid with so much care & effort can go to waste if we do not make the right decisions here, this is why I like to suggest you to be as involved as possible in this step, so you can watch & understand the birth of a product that you have put your hard earned stock in. Here we make things work, create Prototypes that elaborate interactions, navigations, layouts, structures, content & the visual language of the Brand.

6. Hand off

The whole Project is assembled, organized, and communicated to the desired team. All the source files, the Documentation, the Design Guidelines, The Design Elements, are carefully passed on to the Developer Team, so their complex tasks can be simplified by just a little bit. Aiding the Developers at every step might be the most important function a Designer has to perform, because a Good Design can be wasted, if not implemented correctly. If everything goes smoothly, Then we did it! We made something beautiful together, by the power of collaboration. This is where we say our Goodbyes, but not for eternity, if you had fun & received the right solutions for your Problems, I’m sure we’ll see each other again!

But this is merely a loose framework. I’m more than open to collaborate in a way that seems fit to you, & frankly would love to keep it as in-formal as we can!
