The client provides a description of the project. And the for each page we go though:

How he/she imagines the illustration in the page and what has to be communicated through the illustration.

I will create a few sketches that serve as a starting point. Here we can discuss the composition, the placement of various elements in the illustrations and make sure we have everything we need to move ahead.

 Color/mood

Here we can explore a few color combinations to make sure we have the right mood and atmosphere for the illustration

 Final stages

Here the illustration is 70% complete, we can still make a few small changes at this point before we add the final details that will really bring the piece to life.
