Summary
Once the script is done, the next step is to do the Storyboard, a series of frames that represents each shot of the production. This allows the director to check things like camera angles, characters' posing, relevant props placement, etc. Once It's done, All the shots are edited on sequences ( according to the script ) in order to have the Animatic, this allows the director to evaluate the timing/pacing. This is a huge help, It's a very first preview of the entire production.
What's included
It's a draft version of an animated or live-action project, made with drawings and audio tracks.
These drawings represent characters, their actions, and important elements to be seen in the project. This video is the second stage in a production, right after the script. It helps the entire production team to know if the project works, even before starting with the final illustrations, 3D models, or shooting in location.
