About this service

Summary

My approach to brand design is as intellectual as it is visual, guided by communication priorities that we establish upfront, which must be effortlessly conveyed through the new brand identity. My primary objective is to create a brand design that contains many layers of meaning within a beautiful, coherent, and professional representation of your brand. My process is characterized by open communication, and taking time up front to get to know everything about your brand and objectives, so I can create a brand that not only looks beautiful, but works hard towards your goals.

Process

Our first step is to get to know each other. We begin with an intro call, so I can learn all about your brand and goals. From there we work together to establish communication priorities (typically three, in order or priority), before diving into the moodboarding stage, to align on creative direction.
From there, it's time to being creating original materials for your brand. We begin with the logo stage, since this is the core around which your brand will be based. I begin by presenting a range of concepts and aesthetic directions (both symbols and wordmarks). Once we narrow the options down, we will refine our favorites to solidify typography, coloring, and styling, before you select your favorite, and we deliver usable files. During that revision process, we also get to work establishing brand colors and fonts (separate from, but complementary to, logo typography), as well as textures, iconography, and aesthetic guidelines for new content. Together, these will form a rich, full, and internally complementary brand suite.
