Proofreading and Editing is a skill that requires expertise along with experience. I have a very keen eye and catch small errors in grammar, punctuation, and formatting. I have proofread and edited several types of content: Technical, Non-technical including captions, articles, and product lines. I have worked with many organizations and companies where I have done the same.

Process

The process is simple.

I read the content and highlight all the places where I feel the error is present.

I mark the grammatical errors and spellings with a separate colour, and spacing and punctuation errors with a different colour.

Then, I look for words that can enhance the quality of content. After doing so, we move to the next step. (Infact, not only words but also addition and deduction of certain phrases, words or sentences might take place).

Now, all the highlighted errors are corrected.

I proofread the content again.

The last step includes the final editing part.
