This is very common with early stage founders and I'm used to it. We start with a scoping call where I help you break your idea into clear features and priorities. From there I put together a phased plan so you know exactly what gets built, in what order, and at what cost before any work begins.

Both, depending on what makes sense for the project. For MVPs and defined builds I prefer fixed price so you have full cost clarity upfront. For ongoing work, feature additions, or projects where scope evolves I work hourly. I'll recommend whichever structure protects you better for your specific project.

I provide a handover with full documentation, code walkthrough, and deployment support. I also offer post-launch support for bug fixes and small updates. For ongoing development I am open to retainer arrangements so you have a dedicated engineer as your product grows.

I work with both. I have taken over existing codebases, fixed performance issues, refactored messy code, and added new features to live production apps. If you have something already built I am happy to review it first and give you an honest assessment before we start.

I give regular updates without you having to chase me. Typically a short progress update every 2 to 3 days, milestone demos when features are ready, and same-day responses to any questions you have. You will always know where things stand.
