Process

Branding Basic Pack Process:
This is the step-by-step breakdown of the process for delivering the Branding Basic Pack:
1. Moodboard & Research
Objective: To establish the foundational mood and direction for the brand identity.
Research: I begin by gathering visual inspiration, including color schemes, design trends, and cultural references that align with the brand’s essence and industry. This could include trends, competitors, or any specific stylistic elements the client desires. In this case, I would incorporate Moroccan and Mediterranean influences and 70s retro vibes.
Moodboard Creation: A digital moodboard is created, compiling key visuals that embody the brand’s personality, including colors, textures, images, and typography styles. This helps to visually communicate the style direction and ensure alignment with the client’s expectations.
2. Logo Design & Variations
Objective: To create a memorable and adaptable logo that communicates the brand’s identity.
Initial Concepts: I design 3 distinct logo options, each with a different approach based on the research and moodboard. These options will explore varying levels of complexity and styles—one could be more geometric, another more organic, and the third combining typography and imagery.
Refinement: Once the client provides feedback, I fine-tune the chosen logo. Adjustments might include color, shape, spacing, and proportions to make sure it’s versatile and works across all applications (from signage to digital).
Variations: Each selected logo comes with 3 variations, such as a full version, a simplified icon, and a horizontal version. This ensures flexibility in usage across different mediums.
3. Color Palette Development
Objective: To establish a harmonious set of colors that reflect the brand’s values and personality.
Initial Palette: I create 3 different color palette options based on the moodboard, each incorporating a primary color scheme and complementary tones. The palettes could range from bold and vibrant to more neutral and earthy tones depending on the desired brand tone (e.g., warm terracotta and deep greens for a Mediterranean feel).
Refinement: After reviewing the options, the client selects the preferred palette, which is then finalized and fine-tuned for the most effective brand application.
4. Fonts System
Objective: To select fonts that align with the brand’s identity and ensure consistency across all brand materials.
Font Options: I present 3 font system options: one for headers, one for body text, and one for accents or subheadings. The options will balance legibility with style—whether that’s a vintage-inspired serif, a modern sans-serif, or a combination of both, depending on the desired tone.
Refinement: After feedback, the most suitable font system is selected and finalized to create a harmonious type hierarchy that can be applied consistently across print and digital media.
5. Brand Guidelines
Objective: To ensure the brand is used consistently across all touchpoints.
Document Creation: I compile a brand guidelines document that outlines the proper use of the logo, color palette, typography, and any other key elements of the brand identity. This document includes specifications for print, digital, and social media use, ensuring consistency and clarity in how the brand is applied.
Delivery: The brand guidelines are delivered as a digital PDF, which the client can refer to as a go-to resource for maintaining a consistent brand image across all future materials.
