Summary

My copy editing is meticulous and thoughtful. My aim isn't to override the voice of your original writer (unless of course that's part of your ask!), but rather to streamline their writing into the cleanest, clearest version of itself. Grammar and spelling will of course be spotless.

Process

1) Intake conversation to discuss your project, needs, concerns, and any process specifications.
2) I step away to begin the copy edit - beginning with the tracked edit version.
3) I complete the project with additional research as needed, + delivery of the final, "clean" version.
4) I offer up to two (2) rounds of feedback/edits.

What's included

  • Line-edited content (version 1 of your material)

    I will comb through your draft with a fine-toothed comb, ensuring every edit I suggest is subject to your review and confirmation. This document will clearly delineate every such recommended modification, so that if you have the option to override any edit you disagree with.

  • Clean version of the content (version 2 of your material)

    This "clean" version removes tracked edits/recommended changes to showcase a fully revised version.

  • (if applicable) Source note

    If the copy editing assignment requires any additions/research, a third document will note the source of any such inclusions.
