I have worked with the Latino community for almost ten years. In my professional experience since graduating from Bryant & Stratton college, I grew into becoming a Spanish Liason in each one of my professions. I translated for not only immigration attorneys, but also for Richmond Public School Head Start. I was the only Latina teacher that was able to assist Latino families and their children. As my education expanded so did my experience of working in non-profit organizations and higher education institutions. As a Latina myself, I understand how the Latino community functions and the trials of a normal Latino family in the United States struggling to navigate in a country with a different system from their own. In each session, I welcome people with open arms and an open mind to build a bridge between two languages.
