Infrastructure does not stay finished. Certificates expire, Kubernetes versions go end of life, costs drift upward, and alerts slowly become noise nobody reads. Most small teams have nobody whose job this is.
This is a monthly block of platform engineering time. Patching and version upgrades, alert tuning so pages stay meaningful, cost review, incident support when something breaks, and a set number of hours for the small infrastructure requests that otherwise sit in a backlog for months.
You get one engineer who knows your setup rather than a rotating ticket queue. Every change goes through the same pipeline and review process your own team would use, so nothing I do is invisible to you.
MONTHLY LEVELS
$1,500. Up to 10 engineering hours, 24 hour business hours response, patching and upgrades, monitoring and alert tuning, best effort incident support.
$2,500. Up to 20 hours, 8 hour response, priority incident support, monthly cost review, monthly written report, small feature and infrastructure requests.
$3,500. Up to 30 hours, 4 hour response, plus a quarterly architecture review.
Commonly added: extra 10 hour blocks, extended weekend coverage, a second environment or cluster covered, emergency out of hours callout per incident.
Onboarding is the first four days: I document your current setup, access paths and the failure modes that matter. Unglamorous, and the reason everything after it is fast. Then the obvious wins get cleared, expiring certificates, missing backups, noisy alerts, unpatched versions.
Each month you receive a written report covering what was done, what changed in your costs, what is coming up such as version end of life dates, and what I recommend next.
Month to month, no lock in. If a month goes by where you did not need me, I will tell you rather than quietly bill it.
Best fit if you are running production AWS or Kubernetes without a dedicated platform engineer. If you already have an in house DevOps team, an advisory engagement is probably better value and I will suggest that instead.
I work GMT+1 with strong overlap across Europe, the Gulf and the US East Coast morning.
