A book is read from the outside in. The cover makes a promise, and the interior has to keep it. I design either part on its own, or both together as one system, where the typography, palette and rhythm of the cover carry through to the last page.

The content leads. A novel needs a page that disappears while you read. A picture book needs text and image to share the spread without competing. An art book needs each spread composed around the work it shows. I build the grid and the typographic system around what the manuscript asks for, following classical book typography, not trends.

The final quote depends on length and complexity: page count, the number of images and tables, how many levels of hierarchy the text has, and the print specifications.

Every project includes two revision rounds and print-ready files checked against your printer's specifications. Image sourcing and licensing are quoted as a separate line.

First concepts or sample pages arrive within 5 business days of receiving your files. A cover or a short book is print-ready in about 3 weeks, assuming feedback within 48 hours per round. Longer or more complex books are scheduled individually.
