I'll read your manuscript at least twice and add comments and queries in the margins (line edit). This step includes light rewriting or syntactical editing where appropriate, but will consist mostly of pointing out potential changes to the author. Then I'll write you an editorial letter with easy-to-follow bullet points detailing what you did well and what areas could use improvement.
