About this service

Summary

With 2 decades of audio/visual experience, your production will be in good hands with me. I will edit your project with the delivered material and finish it following your brief and vision. At the end, you will receive a video file of your chosen format and if you like we can discuss transferring the entire project folder structure for a to-be-discussed fee. We can discuss any add-once like graphics or footage to be created or sourced. Whether your edit is big or small, shoot me a message and let us get your project up and running!

Process

Starting with a conversation to get a brief and debrief so I know what you are looking for. Following I need all the footage and additional files you like me to use. If you want me to create new material or source material, we can discuss the cost. If you like to add graphics, we can discuss this as well. At this point, I am able to give an accurate quote as I now know exactly what is going to be needed for your project.

I will receive your footage or go and shoot or source footage.

I will make a rough cut, with placeholders for material that is potentially still missing. Optionally, I happily show you this rough-cut version for you to provide notes on.

Next will be the creation of (motion)graphics if this was an agreed on task.

Trimming and polishing, I will build the final cut and show as a proposed finished edit.

If there are any notes, I will make adjustments.

When approved, I will export to a chosen file format fitting your specifics or create what I judge to be the best option if you are unsure.

This video file will be sent to you upon completion. The project folder will only be transferred if agreed on for a fee. This can be discussed at the 1st stage or after completion if you choose on a later date.

FAQs

What kind of edits can you make?
Any, Short, YouTube, advertisement, info-film, mood-films, weddings, documentaries, you name it.
When will you have my edit completed?
Depending on the length and what is all added on top. As a guide, a straightforward material-delivered project for an average-length TV ad will be done in a few days, less than a week. I can give you a deadline date once I have all the info needed.
Can you make me (motion) graphics?
Yes, I am well experienced with motion graphics and am a skilled animator. For simple graphics, like text bars, you won't find an additional charge, but more complex work will be considered an add-on with additional fees to agree on.
Will you do grading?
Yes, I will do a pass of grading on the material appropriate to the style when needed.
Can you film material for me?
Yes, I have been schooled and worked in the audio/visual field and am experienced in filming, audio recording, lighting, set building, directing and more. Do note that this is an editing service. Any shooting request will have an additional fee that we need to agree on.
Will you add music?
If you deliver music I will, I assume you will have the licence for these if needed. Alternatively, I can source music if you need me to, but this will be an add-on for a fee.
Do you have your own soft/hardware?
Yes, I own my own desktop with premier, photoshop, illustrator, after effects, nuke, maya and media encoder.
Can you send me a project file(s)
Yes, but we will discuss an appropriate fee for this. Standard you will get a video file of your choosing of the finished cut, but the work file would allow you to source someone else or DIY future updates while I spend the time. Hence this would be something of great value for both you and me and a reasonable fee would apply. If agreed you will get the whole project folder with all files associated included.
