The workshop can be project-specific or a general challenge that introduces participants to the world of human centered design. The choice is yours; this should be decided prior to finalizing the workshop plan.
What's included
Presentation (optional, highly recommended)
This presentation digs deeper into the process of design thinking/HCD and explains to participants what lies ahead. I can do a short or a long version based on the time allocation and your preferences. The presentation copy will not be shared, however I can share a summary that the participants will find helpful as well.
Pre-Workshop Discussion
This will be a 30-60 minute conversation about your goals and desired outcomes to prepare for the session. Ahead of this call, I will send a questionnaire link that will help me understand your needs and better prepare for our call to have a deeper, more fruitful discussion. I will then share a workshop plan for your approval.
Note: If your questionnaire indicates a need for a project-specific workshop, I highly recommend booking a 60 minute conversation to ensure my understanding of the problem space and desired outcomes
Workshop Prep Materials (optional)
I can share the workshop plan ahead of time along with the virtual collaboration room design. If the organizer (you) will be a workshop participant, this option will not be ideal since participants shouldn't rehearse their answers.
Workshop Pre-work (TBD)
Depending on the needs of the workshops, I may need to ask participants to complete some pre-work ahead of time. This can be discussed with you as part of the finalized workshop plan
Workshop Execution
This is where the fun really begins! I will be conducting and facilitating the workshop with the attendees you have chosen to participate according to the original discussion and plan.
Virtual Collaboration Board Copy (Optional)
This is an option if you would like to keep a copy of the Miro/Mural board we use for the workshop
Workshop Debrief & Next Steps
This is an essential step to bookend our workshop. It can take many shapes, from a discussion with the organizing team, to Insights Summary and planning next steps.
