• What is a design retainer, and how does it work?

  A design retainer is an ongoing service that allows you to reserve a set number of design hours each month for your business. During that time, I’ll handle all your design needs, providing consistent and timely support. client’s design needs.

• How do I know how many hours I’ll need each month?

  We’ll discuss your typical design needs during our discovery call to determine the ideal number of hours to ensure your projects run smoothly and efficiently.

• What types of design work are included in the retainer service?

  The retainer covers social media graphics, marketing flyers, digital ads, website banners, business collateral, merchandise design, and more—excluding presentation design and infographics. Rebranding and website design are separate services and are not included in the monthly retainer.

• Can I change the number of hours each month based on my needs?

  Yes, you can adjust your monthly hours to match your fluctuating design needs. Just let me know in advance, and we’ll make the necessary adjustments.

• What happens if I don’t use all of my hours for the month?

  Unused hours do not roll over to the next month. It’s important to utilize your allotted hours within the month to make the most of your retainer.

• What if I need more design work than the hours I’ve selected?

  If you need more work than your selected hours, I will continue working on overage hours. Any additional hours will be invoiced separately at the end of the month.

• How do you ensure all designs stay consistent with my branding?

  I refer to your brand guidelines and review past work to ensure that every design aligns with your established brand style, tone, and values.

• Will I be charged extra for any overage hours?

  Yes, any work that exceeds your monthly retainer hours will be charged at the agreed hourly rate and invoiced separately at the end of the month.

• How do I request design work each month?

  You can submit your design requests via our client portal, where you’ll also be able to track progress. I will log the time spent on each task to keep everything organized and transparent.

• What’s the process if I need to cancel or pause the service?

  Simply provide two weeks’ notice, and we’ll ensure any ongoing projects are wrapped up before ending or pausing the service.

• Are there any long-term contracts, or is this month-to-month?

  We offer both month-to-month options for flexibility, as well as a minimum three-month commitment to lock in your rate for the duration.

• How do you handle revisions or changes to the designs?

  Revisions are included within the agreed-upon hours, and I work closely with you to ensure the final designs meet your expectations. Additional revisions outside the agreed hours will be charged at the hourly rate.

• What’s the turnaround time for design requests?

  Typically, turnaround time is 1-3 days, depending on the complexity of the request and the number of hours booked. Larger projects will have longer timelines, but I’ll provide an estimated completion date upfront.

• Can I use this retainer for multiple brands under my business?

  Yes, as long as the work fits within your allocated hours, I can manage design work for multiple brands under your business umbrella.

• I run an agency that hires designers to do white-label services. Can I hire you?

  Absolutely! I offer white-label design services and would be happy to work with your agency to support your client's design needs.
