About this service
Summary
What's included
Mixed Tracks
The engineer provides mixed versions of the songs. Mixing involves adjusting and combining individual tracks into a stereo or multichannel format, balancing the levels, and applying various effects like EQ, compression, and reverb.
Mastered Tracks
Once the tracks are mixed, they are mastered. This involves fine-tuning the final mix to ensure it sounds its best across various playback systems. The mastering process typically includes adjusting levels, enhancing sonic characteristics, and ensuring consistent sound across the entire album or set of tracks.
Different File Formats
The mixed and mastered tracks will be delivered in various file formats as per the client’s requirements, such as WAV, AIFF, or high-quality MP3. This might include different versions for different purposes (e.g., streaming, CD quality).
Stem Files
Depending on the agreement, the engineer might provide stem files (submixes of groups of instruments) which can be useful for live shows, remixes, or further production work.
Alternate Mixes
This may include radio edits, instrumental versions, acapella versions, or versions with alternative arrangements.
Documentation and Reports
Any notes, reports, or documentation related to the technical aspects of the mix and master, including any specific processing details, settings used, or observations that might be useful for the client or for future reference.
Revision Notes
If revisions are part of the agreed-upon project scope, then detailed notes on any changes made during the revision process might also be included.
Data Backup
Sometimes, engineers offer to store backups of the final project files for a certain period, ensuring that the client can retrieve them in case of data loss.
