Accessibility
Accessibility refers to design that includes or involves everyone and also take into recognition the people living with disability. As a UI UX designer, I ensure that all my designs are accessible and straight to the point. To achieve this, I make use of the accessibility guidelines like contrast checker and WCAG 2.1 . This involves designing for users that might have a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language etc. Overall designing for accessibility helps to create a positive user experience for all users.
Visual Design
Visual design is the process of creating how the mobile or web interface will look aesthetically. As a UI UX designer, I use visual identity to understand and design in such a way that it wholesomely represent the brand and engages the target audience. To do this, I consider factors such as colors, typography, iconography, images and grids. I make use of colors that reflects the brand identity and appeals to the target audience. I also use typography that is legible and is consistent throughout the design. Images that are relevant to the content and also appeal to the target audience are used because images play a vital role in visual design. I also use grids and hierarchy to guide the users attention to what is most important and in the manner that it follows. Overall, visual design plays a crucial role in creating a positive user experience. By creating a visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing design, users are more likely to engage with the product, stay longer on the product and also come back on the future.
