About this service

Summary

What makes me different is that I’ve worked across every part of the process—color grading, editing, and shooting. That gives me a deeper understanding of how a story comes together, both technically and emotionally. I don’t just make things look good—I focus on how they feel. Whether I’m shaping a shot on set or fine-tuning color in post, I’m always chasing the emotion behind the image.

Process

Footage Transfer The client sends me the final edit or XML/EDL/AAF along with the original media. This usually happens via WeTransfer, Google Drive, Frame.io, or an external drive—whatever fits the project size.
Project Prep & Conform I bring everything into my grading software (usually DaVinci Resolve), relink the footage, and check that the timeline matches the offline edit exactly—frame-accurate and all.
Look Development I create a look based on our conversations, references, or mood boards. If needed, I’ll send a few stills or short test clips for approval before moving into full grading.
Grading Once the look is locked in, I go through the entire timeline shot by shot—balancing, matching, and applying the grade. This includes any additional work like skin tone tuning, sky enhancement, or noise reduction.
Review & Feedback I send a preview (usually a low-res H.264 export or selected stills) for the client to review. We go through any notes or tweaks needed before final delivery.
Final Export After approval, I deliver the final graded video in the requested format—whether that’s a master export, individual graded clips, or specific deliverables (ProRes, DNxHR, LUTs, etc.).
Backup & Archive Once everything’s wrapped, I archive the project for a limited time, just in case anything needs to be revisited later.
