Process

Here's a breakdown of my video editing process, highlighting my collaborative approach:

Consultation & Vision Gathering

a) We will have a kickoff call to discuss your project goals, target audience, and desired video style highlighting its overall tone, feel and look.

b) I will share relevant video examples and guide you through the creative process.

c) If you prefer to capture all of the above in a written brief, that is fine with me. A detailed offers the advantage of capturing thoughts and ideas that may be skipped over during verbal discussions.

2. Script & Footage Review (if applicable):

d) As a scriptwriter and copywriter, I am ready to offer script editing services along with the video editing.

e) However, If a script is available, I will request for it so we can discuss various aspects of the script together.

f) If the content has been shot, we will talk about the footage and review it. This implies that you will share a link with me to review the footage.

g) If the video requires stock footage, you will indicate the type of footage you want and also indicate if I can choose a free stock content.

3. Voice Over Narration, Music and Special Effects

h) If voice narration is required, you will indicate what type of voice over narrative is needed. This may be male, female, and in some situations a specific ethnicity or type of voice.

i) You will also indicate the type of music required or indicate whether I can choose a suitable free stock music.

j) If any special visual effects is required, this will be discussed.

4. Rough Cut & Feedback

k) I will assemble an initial edit based on our discussions.

l) You will receive the rough cut for review and provide feedback.

m) We will work together to refine the edit until you're satisfied.

5. Polishing & Final Delivery:

n) I will add music, sound effects, color correction, and any additional elements discussed.

o) You will receive the final polished video in the agreed-upon format.

6. Communication & Collaboration:

Throughout the process, I maintain open communication and encourage your input. I believe collaboration is key to creating a video that truly reflects your vision.
