FAQs
How to Count Screens?
We count a screen as a distinct, full-page interface where a specific action is performed or a unique purpose is served. We do not count pop-ups, modals, tooltips, or minor overlays. Repetitive screens that follow the same layout and structure with only data changes are also not counted. Only unique screens that require a different design, layout, or functionality are considered. If the structure changes, it’s counted; if only the content changes, it’s not.
How to count flows?
We count a flow as the complete process of a user performing a specific task from the moment it begins to when it’s completed. For example: A “Create Invoice” flow starts when the user begins creating an invoice and ends once it’s saved or sent. A “Request Leave” flow starts when the user initiates a leave request and ends when the request is submitted. Each distinct task is counted as one flow, regardless of complexity, as long as it has a clear start and end.
Why should we invest in UX when our product already works?
Because working isn’t the same as working well. A product that functions isn’t necessarily one that works best for your users, scales efficiently, or drives business outcomes. Investing in UX helps uncover friction, boost user adoption, reduce support load, and turn your product into a competitive advantage.
How UX Design is going to increase revenue?
UX directly influences how users discover, trust, and pay for your product. A well-designed experience reduces drop-offs, shortens sales cycles, and increases conversion rates, whether it’s from trial to paid, free to premium, or first-time to repeat use. It also makes upsells and new feature adoption easier by removing friction and making value obvious.
Why should we redesign instead of just adding new features?
New features don’t fix old problems. Adding functionality on top of a poor foundation leads to clutter, confusion, and lower adoption. A strategic redesign ensures your core flows are intuitive and scalable, so every new feature fits naturally, adds value, and gets used.
How will you measure the success of your design work?
We measure success by tying design outcomes to real product and business goals such as : - fewer human errors, - increased app usability, - improved task completion, - reduced support tickets, and - higher adoption.
How long will the Quick Win's process take?
The Quick Win sprint typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the number of flows and screens involved. It's designed to deliver high-impact results fast.
Do you also Develop?
We don’t handle development in-house, but we work closely with reliable development partners we trust. If needed, we’re happy to refer you to teams experienced in bringing our designs to life with the same level of quality and care.
How do you handle confidential or proprietary data?
We sign an NDA(Non-Disclosure Agreement ) and an MSA (Master Service Agreement) before project kickoff and use secure tools for communication, file sharing, and storage. Your data stays protected throughout, and you retain full ownership of all project assets.
Can you skip or remove some steps from the process?
No, each step is essential to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the final outcome. Skipping steps can compromise both the results and the overall impact.
How do you ensure our team stays in the loop during the project?
We keep you involved through weekly updates, collaborative reviews, and transparent access to all design files and documentation.
Do you provide only UX research services?
No, we don’t offer research as a standalone service. Instead, we include it as part of our full UI/UX design process to guide informed, actionable design decisions.
Can you redesign just part of our product, like one feature or flow?
No, we don’t take on isolated redesigns. UX is deeply interconnected, and changing one part without addressing surrounding flows can lead to more confusion. Our approach looks at the product holistically to ensure consistency, clarity, and long-term usability.
What should our project’s total budget be ?
Typically, design accounts for around 20% of a product’s total budget, while the remaining 80% goes toward development, testing, and execution.
What's included
Business Model Canvas for the Software
We use the Business Model Canvas to map how your product supports the business, covering value, customers, revenue, and delivery. This reveals where UX issues may be causing friction, support load, or broken flows in business.
Visual User Flow
We create a visual map of how users navigate your app, screen by screen, highlighting key flows, decision points, edge cases, and role-based variations. This uncovers UX misalignments, redundancies, and hidden complexity, giving a clear foundation for redesign. The full user flow is shared as a FigJam file covering all users and scenarios.
User Persona and Role & Responsibility Chart
We identify all user types and define the actions each role performs, enabling us to design role-specific interfaces that reflect real responsibilities and avoid permission mismatches. This ensures clarity and prioritization of key actions for each role.
Audit
We run a UX/UI audit using our internal checklist to quickly identify usability gaps, visual inconsistencies, and interaction issues. Evaluated across 10 key areas and 100+ criteria, this helps us detect & prioritize issues, focus on fixes that deliver the most impact.
Restructured Information Architecture
We re-organize content and navigation to create logical user flows that support smoother task completion. This results in a simplified, role-based structure that forms the foundation for wireframes.
Wire Frames
We create low-fidelity wireframes that define the structure, layout, and flow of your application, mapping how information is presented, tasks are completed, and actions occur. These wireframes help validate user flows, reduce rework, and set a solid foundation for UI design.
3 UI Concepts - Visual Concepts
We create three distinct UI concepts based on your brand persona, offering visual options with different styles of typography, color, layout, icons, and interaction mood. This helps you choose a clear visual direction early, ensuring alignment before UI design begins.
Design System
We use a base system aligned with your frontend framework and customize colors, typography, spacing, and components to create a scalable Figma system that ensures consistent design across all your softwares
Icons & Illustration Design
We design primary, secondary and tertiary icons. That match with your unique requirements. Illustrations are mainly done for empty states, success and error states.
UI Design - Light and Dark Mode
Once the design system is ready, we create high-fidelity UI screens based on your brand, visual direction, and wireframes in both Light & Dark modes. Each screen is intuitive, consistent, and aligned with product goals, built using components to ensure clarity, usability, and a smooth dev handoff.
Prototyping and Developer Handoff
We conduct a handover session with your development team to walk through the final approved Figma file, tools, and key design decisions. Files are well-organized, with components using auto layout and documented design tokens to ensure smooth implementation, faster development, and consistent results.

Nearly two years at Upslide Design Studio as a UX Designer & Writer has been a journey of growth, both personally and with my peers. I’ve had the privilege of designing user experiences for 40+ projects across industries, each bringing unique challenges and learnings. A highlight was visiting a pharmaceutical plant and witnessing a drug’s journey from raw materials to packaging,an experience I’ll carry for a lifetime. Every project has shaped me as a designer, storyteller, and problem-solver.
