What I mean by that, is you're creating a safe environment with a solid foundation for your readers based on psychology & human behaviour. Those who join your email list know you're offering a solution to their problem. That they will receive your email daily. The objective: 1) to give them information, 2) to entertain them. 3) to educate and inspire them, 4) to make them see you both an expert and a leader 5) to offer them your product / service. By having that mental state of mind, you're creating a safe environment for them until they're ready to buy. And by doing so, you’re the one who has the control on your audience, and not those social media platforms. Note that I adapt to what your business model. Including whether I write daily email or weekly newsletter. So, if you really love what you do, you know that writing (that is used in your business campaign) is a long-term game.

Now, the main reason they join your email list simply because they see your website has a clear message (not fancy nor poetic one) so that they can make clear decision whether they stay or leave immediately. For those who stay, they realize that your product is the right solution for their problem. They also realize that even if they need more time to buy right away (rather than to buy right away based on impulse), the feeling of relief & certainty is growing in their mind. So, they want to enjoy and spend more time by reading your daily email or weekly newsletter (which has a longer form) BEFORE they click the 'buy button'. And you’re doing that on consistent basis.

Why X? Firstly, it's organic. This will help you to get some valuable data whether your product is worthy of paid ads. There’s no use if a product being offered to a market that has no interest to it. Which could be a signal if your product needs some refinement. Note: If your list is small, if your product is yet to launch... then X is the right place for you. Once you've got the hand of growing distribution (your audience) you start daily email and or newsletter to double your impact. From that, you can make the next move. Secondly, you attract those who have the 'same frequency' with you quickly. Those who likes you and become followers will gradually become your warm market. And so is their level of awareness. Thirdly, you can control growth with strategies you're going to take later. And finally, if you are a solopreneur (one-business person) kind of guy, X serves you best. I will say it only once: YOU are the BRAND, YOU are the NICHE. Medium, blog sites, and newsletters take longer to grow. YouTube? It takes a couple of years. (And I hope you don't depend on the ad revenue from it.) You want to start doing this because you want more autonomy in your life. And not be a slave to the algorithm. In my eyes, it’s easier to build an X following and transfer your audience to your daily email & or long-form writing down the road. If you notice, I showed you these steps backward. So now you see this is not about hacks, tricks, gimmicks, or tactics. Again, you’re going to thrive if you play a long game – doing what you love to do, helping fellow human beings with your product creation, and making money from it.
