• Consistency

  To be clear, did you really only mention 4% of grantees in section 2 despite mentioning 34% of them in the executive summary? The writer of your Recommendations section may have forgotten to add coverage of participant suggestions for improvement in the program, if you mentioned it in the beginning but didn't really include it. How consistent are your subheadings? As  copy editor, I ensure your reports or proposals is uniformly presented, properly punctuated, and well formatted.

  In my role as editor, I'll help you pick up on when a report contains too many acronyms or if a certain word seems too foreign and confusingly worded. Even if a sentence follows all the rules of grammar, it may not be the most effective approach to convey the intended meaning to the reader. This is especially true in grant proposals, when you need to explain your organization's goals, techniques, and strategy to a reader who may not be familiar with its work.

  The concept of "voice" isn't limited to authors of fictional works. I can aid you in drafting an attention-grabbing cover letter or motivational essay that will increase your chances of being invited to an interview. When it comes to competition for a small number of open positions, a well-written cover letter is your best bet for making a good first impression and landing the job or scholarship.
