Brand Design Process: From Strategy to Final Brand Presentation
I believe in creating brands that are more than just logos. The goal is to design a complete visual identity that communicates your brand’s essence clearly and effectively. Here’s how we’ll work together from start to finish:
Step 1: Discovery & Brand Strategy
What Happens: We begin with a deep dive into your business. In this consultation, I’ll learn about your brand's mission, values, target audience, and vision for the future. This helps me understand the story your brand needs to tell and how to position it in the market.
What You’ll Do: I’ll send over a detailed questionnaire that helps me gather all the necessary information about your brand. Feel free to share anything that inspires you or resonates with your brand’s personality.
Step 2: Research & Moodboarding
What Happens: I’ll conduct thorough research into your industry, competitors, and audience to ensure your brand stands out in a meaningful way. Using the insights from the discovery phase, I’ll create a moodboard to set the visual direction. This will include potential color palettes, typography, and inspiration to visually represent your brand's tone and personality.
What You’ll Do: Review the moodboard and provide feedback on the general feel and direction. This is where we align on the big picture, so your vision is fully realized before we move to the next phase.
Step 3: Brand Concept Presentation
What Happens: Instead of presenting just a single logo, I’ll create a full brand presentation that shows your brand in action. This will include:
The finalized logo (with different variations)
Color palette
Typography
Imagery style
Social media mockups, business cards, and other brand applications
This approach allows you to see how the brand works in different settings, helping you visualize how it will be used across all touchpoints. The goal is to show you the brand as a complete identity, not just a logo.
What You’ll Do: Review the full brand concept and feel free to provide any feedback. At this point, we’ve already done the heavy lifting, so the concept should align with the brand strategy we discussed earlier. The purpose here is to ensure the brand’s application is clear and that everything fits together cohesively.
Step 4: Refining the Concept
What Happens: Based on your feedback, I’ll make any necessary refinements to the visual elements to ensure everything is aligned perfectly. This is the stage where we’ll make small adjustments or tweaks if needed. Since the direction was clearly defined early on, this step should focus on fine-tuning rather than overhauling.
What You’ll Do: Provide any last-minute feedback or adjustments to ensure the final version is perfect for your brand.
Step 5: Final Brand Deliverables
What Happens: After finalizing the design, I’ll send you the complete brand package, including:
The logo files (AI, PNG, JPG, SVG)
Color codes (HEX, RGB, CMYK)
Typography files
The full Brand Style Guide, detailing how to use your logo, colors, and fonts consistently
Mockups of your brand in action (social media, business cards, etc.)
This ensures you have everything you need to start implementing your new brand identity immediately.

    Since we’ve already established the brand strategy and visual direction in earlier steps, the concept we present to you should be very close to what you envision. Revisions will be minimal and focus on refining small details to ensure everything is perfect. If we need to make major changes at this stage, we’ll revisit the strategy and direction to ensure we’re on track.

  • What if I don’t like the concept after reviewing it?

    I always ensure the direction we’re heading in is clearly outlined and approved during the discovery and moodboarding phase. This minimizes the chances of you not liking the final concept. If you feel the brand doesn’t align with your expectations, we’ll work together to adjust it, revisiting the strategy and making necessary refinements.
