About Me
While I may be new to Contra, I bring over 10 years of professional editing experience to every project I take on. I previously worked on Fiverr, where I earned over 400 five-star reviews from satisfied clients. I’ve joined Contra to expand my work and collaborate with new writers and creators.
Writing has always been both my profession and my passion. I am an award-winning writer whose work has been featured in Girlfriend Magazine, and I am also the author of four published books. Because I write and edit my own novels, I approach every client project with the same level of care, attention, and dedication that I give to my own work.
My goal as an editor is not only to refine your writing but to preserve your voice while strengthening clarity, flow, and impact.
Credentials
Bachelor of Arts in Writing (with a strong focus on editing and manuscript development)
Featured in Girlfriend magazine
Won 3 Watty Awards
Author of four published novels:

Feel free to explore my published work to get a sense of my writing style and editorial standards. There are over 70 reviews on Goodreads. That said, my training allows me to adapt seamlessly to a wide range of voices and styles. FAQs
I usually work via track changes on Microsoft Word, but I'm also happy to work in Google Docs. I find Google Docs to be slightly glitchy with track changes, but it does allow you to track 'real-time' edits and see me working in the document for your peace of mind/security.
Every project is different - requiring different amounts of time dedicated to it, but I do offer fast delivery, so please let me know when you need a project completed by.
Customer satisfaction is my top priority. I'm always happy to go over my edits again and do revisions, but I haven't often needed to (unless the client has made changes I need to go over again).
If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to review a short sample of your manuscript and recommend the most appropriate editing service based on the stage of your draft.
Yes. I can provide a short sample edit so you can see my editing style and ensure it aligns with your expectations before committing to a full project.
Most manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) documents. This allows edits and suggestions to be tracked clearly using Track Changes.
Absolutely. All manuscripts and client communications are treated as strictly confidential, and I respect the intellectual property rights of every author I work with.
Yes. Many of the authors I work with are preparing their books for self-publication, and I’m happy to help ensure manuscripts are polished and ready for submission or publication.
The short answer is no. However, it's important to note that AI is a huge part of modern society; it's seen in autocorrect with phones and is often used without our knowledge. I use supportive programs, such as Grammarly (as my second set of eyes), Speechify (to read the book out loud and see how it sounds for audiobooks), and sometimes do reference checks using AI search engines (to research what I'm not aware of, e.g., baseball rules if I'm working on a baseball related book and need to have knowedge about it). I've worked for over 10 years in editing, well before AI existed, so I'm more than qualified to work without it, but it can be a helpful aid when used correctly. Please let me know in advance if you're very anti-AI, and I'll be sure to edit with Grammarly, ect, switched off, and do the editing old school. As evidenced that AI isn't used, you can see my real-time edits if we edit via Google Docs, and the track changes show my editing (something AI edits doesn't do).
Simply send a message with your manuscript details, word count, and the type of editing you’re looking for. From there, I can provide a quote and estimated turnaround time.
