Summary

DeX Maturity Model, a tool to measure your design team excellence level
Product Design is a vital part of agile teams and tech companies, translating requirements into user experiences. In order to achieve high performance and have a positive impact in the product, designers must have solid processes and quality standards for each workflow step, from discovery to design QA.
In order to achieve that, I created the DeX Maturity Model which evaluates the degree of design excellence and maturity. DeX is formed by market reference standards of organizational design constituted by the integration and compilation of best practices, aiming at scalable and systemic organizational improvement, flows and processes optimization, efficiency and effectiveness level maximization and increase capacity to generate value. It's intended for team or companies that want to promote continuous improvement, with the goal of raising questions about the way design is conducted and promoting the adequacy of its design practices.
What
It's a diagnose and maturity progression tool built to measure design indicators of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness (its holly trinity).
Why
The goal is to minimize risks and prepare the company for continuous scalability, evaluating products and design teams to achieve market best practices and raise the bar of its design and product culture to Elite level of efficiency. This allows to easily identify problem areas and where to focus next, bringing visibility and confidence to maturity standards.
Plus, its intent is to decrease the amount of confusing organic growth based solely on urgent business and user needs, making way for targeted and strategic decisions in neglected areas.
When
My recommendation is the assessment should be applied quarterly to bring results to the tribes periodically with possible paths to solve low score topics. As such, you can take advantage of the usual timeframe companies create OKRs, making it easier to prioritize gaps within the squads strategy and workload.
