Summary

I don’t entirely rely on AI tools like Descript to automatically remove all filler words and gaps, correct the typos and call it a day.

I have a discerning and intuitive approach to keeping some filler words that add context and help with speech comprehension or improve the cohesive structure of the speaker's speech pattern, especially when you have guests that are not native English speakers.

Creative contextual editing: I actively follow the Pod topic, understand what the speakers are trying to say or the general narrative of the story; then use my judgement to edit out bad oxymorons and repetitive wordy phrases that don't add any significant context.

I also creatively edit from the timeline to improve pacing. My creative and discerning approach will help retain your listeners' attention when you publish.
