About this service

Summary

I create custom native Android proof-of-concept (POC) apps to help businesses bring their ideas to life and see if they’ll work.
You’ll get a working app, clear documentation on how it was built, and a roadmap to take it from concept to a full product.
What makes this unique? I don’t just stop at the POC - I make sure you have everything you need to take the next step.

Process

1. Let's Start with Your Idea
We’ll kick things off by chatting about your business idea and what you're hoping to achieve with the app. We’ll narrow down the key features that’ll really show what your concept can do, and set a timeline for the project so you know when to expect major updates.
2. Design & Planning
Next, we’ll pick the tech stack (the tools and libraries) that make the most sense for your project, and map out the overall structure of the app. We’ll also talk about how we’ll measure success—whether it’s based on user feedback, technical performance, or just getting the core features up and running.
3. Building the App
Now, we get into building! I’ll set up everything we need and start implementing the core features you want in the app. I’ll keep you updated with regular check-ins so you can see progress and give feedback.
4. Final Touches
Once everything’s coming together, I’ll polish the app’s design and make sure it’s running well. You’ll get the final APK (for you to install and test) along with the source code so you can take a look at how it was built. I’ll also put together documentation explaining how the app works, the tech behind it, and any limitations to keep in mind.
5. Delivery Time
Once everything’s ready, I’ll send over the APK, the source code, and the documentation. We can schedule a review session where I’ll walk you through the app, answer any questions, and make sure it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
6. The Road Ahead
If you want to take the next step, I’ll provide a roadmap to guide you through turning this POC into a fully developed app. I’ll outline the next features, how long they might take, and any dependencies (like back-end services or extra hardware) so you know exactly what to expect.
7. Post-Delivery Support
Even after delivery, I’m here to help with any questions or tweaks you might need.

What's included

  • Functional POC app

The final version of the app where the concept is implemented. This includes a ready built apk file that can be installed on an Android device and the source code for the app in a github repository and/or in a zip archive depending on preference.

  • App documentation

A document describing the app functionality, how it was implemented, current limitations and further improvement ideas. This would also include technical information such as architecture, technologies or libraries used and a guide for improvements or maintenance. Could be written as a readme in the repository or as a file of a preferred format (pdf, word doc, google doc etc.)

  • Further development guidelines

A document describing how this POC could be further developed to become an MVP (minimum viable product) and even further, a fully developed and released product. A detailed plan of developing the rest of the features (how long they would take, dependencies to other services such as a backend or physical devices, and a general roadmap with milestones for possible releases along the way)
