Astro + EmDash CMS Website on Cloudflare WorkersFabrice Faure-Grise
Your site rebuilt for the edge. No idle servers. No plugin vulnerabilities. A five-page website on Astro + EmDash CMS, with Cloudflare D1 and R2, an admin your team can actually use, and a 1-hour admin training.
Why this stack
Security-first plugins — every EmDash plugin runs in an isolated sandbox with an explicit permission manifest. It can only do what it declared.
Built for speed — Astro is content-first and TypeScript end to end.
Edge infrastructure, marginal cost — Cloudflare Workers scale to zero and bill active CPU time only. D1 for data, R2 for media.
AI-native — EmDash ships with an MCP server and CLI, so an AI agent can manage your content.
Stack: Astro · EmDash CMS (open-source, MIT) · Cloudflare Workers + D1 + R2. Requires your own Cloudflare account with Workers Paid. Available from January 2027.
