Before onboarding a new client we have a 30-60 mins call to discuss the site and the scope of work, as well as answer any questions about the project or collaboration. Following the call, you will receive a complete project brief that will contain all the phases of the project, their contents, pricing, and a general timeframe. Once the brief has been accepted, we can begin the onboarding process.

Every project is managed from its own Notion board. This contains all the updates, information, and communication tools. The client has access to the board and can oversee the project more efficiently. We keep in touch via video calls and using asynchronous video messaging, to better explain the process and ensure that the process moves smoothly and efficiently.

We liaison and collaborate with any and all third parties involved in the project, from engineers to builders and local planning authorities. We rely on strong collaboration, particularly in the earlier phases, with more emphasis placed on communication, to deliver the best results. This process sees the client becoming part of the project.

Project phases

1. Pre-Design PD | Create the project brief and outline, establish requirements, and gather materials.

2. Schematic Design SD | First project draft.

3. Feedback sessions through the SD phase.

4. Design Development DD | Building upon the Schematic and developing it.

5. Feedback session throughout the process.

6. Construction drawings CD | Finals set of precise drawings ready for implementation.

7. Project end and additional support provided through the construction.

Pre-design | PD

An information-gathering phase will be the foundation of the design phases that will follow. The main goal is to learn everything possible about our client's goals and requirements. The project has its own board in Notion from where all coordination takes place and all info is kept for constant access.

Schematic Design | SD

In this phase, we begin the process of translating the brief into an efficient design. We start exploring concepts, testing options, and getting an idea of the general look and feel.

Design Development | DD

This phase focuses on creating the main architectural drawings.

Updates on specific issues will be sent via email for feedback by the client as they are needed.

Construction Drawings | CD

The design drawings are developed into a precise and thorough set of construction documentation containing all the information necessary to communicate the design to a general contractor and build the project.
