About this service

Summary

I offer a comprehensive service that takes your online presence from initial concept design to a fully operational WordPress website you can easily edit yourself, all within 4-6 weeks.

Process

First we start with a discovery call, so I can learn about your business and your goals. We'll discuss what you want from your website, and I advise on solutions and APIs that could help with that. It's also a great chance for me to know what systems you may have in place already, such as Domain(s) or Hosting, and I can also help and advise at this stage

From discovery, I create mockups of your key unique page designs with the best UX practices in mind, to ensure the page and element flow is as desired. I then take those layouts and any feedback and create your website design in Mobile and Desktop view sizes.

Once the design is approved, I begin building your website as a bespoke WordPress theme. The code is fully bespoke, so there's no dependencies on parent themes. At the end of development, but before the site goes live, you get a live working view of the website to explore.

At projection completion, I then assist and help get your new website live on your hosting and domain. I offer a 2-week window after projection for any help or training you may require to use your new Website, and squashing any bugs that may have cropped up pushing the website live to your host.

FAQs

I don't have a Domain name or Hosting plan. Can you help?
Yes, I can help advise where you can purchase and register domain names and appropriate hosting plans, and also how you can link these together.
Can I skip the Wireframe phase and go straight into viewable designs?
Sometimes a wireframe isn't needed for simpler websites. We can head straight into the design phase which can expedite your new website faster.
WordPress is a blogging platform, but I don't want to have a blog?
Having a blog is a great way to post updates and news about your business, but if you're not ready for the commitment of a regularly updated blog, we can hide this functionality until you need it later down the line. WordPress still gives you great features for adding media, customising navigation menus and editing and creating pages.
I need a contact form, can you help?
Absolutely! I build these in code using APIs, so there's security knowing there's no plugin between you and your potential new customer. If you'd like a different integration, such as HubSpot or MailChimp, I can also help set that up.

What's included

Wireframe Page Mockup
Wireframe design of your key pages to showcase the layout of your new website design, with a chance to provide feedback at an early stage of development. This stage will also help you visualise how and where content will be placed.
Website Design
Receive Mobile and Desktop designs of your new proposed website, with a chance to provide feedback. Following approval to start building in live code, your website will be built as a bespoke WordPress theme.
Website Development
Following design approval, your new website will begin to be built in live code. Any copy, images and content received before this stage will be added alongside the development of your website.
Support & Maintenance
Following the development of your website, I will help you with Hosting, Domain Name registration, and getting your new website online. I will also assist with training on how to use your new WordPress theme, and provide a 2-week window after project completion for any bugs or quirks to be ironed-out.
