Make your existing website easier to recover and give its owner a clear signal when it becomes unavailable. I configure a practical backup routine, test recovery and connect an uptime check to your chosen alert recipient.

Start with what must be recovered

A useful backup plan identifies the application files, configuration and database needed to bring the site back. We agree the schedule, retained copies, storage destination and who owns the recovery information.
The wider service covers backup repairs and operational checks for an existing Linux application. It is designed around a demonstrable restore and an alert that reaches the owner.

A tested recovery setup for $200

The starter covers one website or application on one VPS, up to five GB of selected data and one PostgreSQL database if present. It includes one scheduled backup job, one retention policy and an existing off-server storage destination in your account. Database content is exported with an appropriate database-aware method.
I also configure one external HTTP or HTTPS uptime check with one notification destination. Required storage, monitoring accounts and a separate restore location must be available before setup begins.

Prove a restore and a notification

I run the backup, check its recorded result and restore one completed copy to an isolated location without replacing the live application. The test covers the selected files and database plus one agreed application check where a suitable test runtime is available. I verify a monitoring alert using a controlled test rather than taking the live site offline. One consolidated review round is included.

Hand over a routine you can run

You receive the backup scripts or configuration, schedule, retention settings, restore evidence and a short recovery guide. Delivery is five days after scope and access are ready. Storage and monitoring fees are separate. The project sets up the routine and alerts; it does not include ongoing response, a 24/7 support commitment or a promise of zero data loss or downtime.
