Summary

If you're using Klaviyo and want emails that look good and work well, this is for you. I’ll take your email from concept to code—starting with a custom design in Figma, then building it out in clean, responsive HTML that plays nicely with Klaviyo (and doesn’t rely on a bunch of image blocks).

This is especially helpful if you want something more thoughtful than a drag-and-drop template, but still want the flexibility to update content down the line.

Process

Kickoff + Content We’ll start by going over what the email is for—launch, campaign, newsletter, etc.—and what needs to be included. You can bring your own copy, or I can help shape it.

Design in Figma I’ll design a layout that fits your brand, reads well, and feels intentional—not cluttered or generic.

Feedback & Edits You’ll get a chance to review the design and share notes. We’ll go through a couple of rounds to get it right.

Code it Out Once the design’s locked, I’ll hand-code it into responsive HTML using live text (not image slices), so it renders well across inboxes.

Testing Before delivery, I’ll run it through Litmus to catch any weirdness in Gmail, Outlook, mobile, etc.

Delivery We'll import the HTML into Klaviyo as a template which will then be applied to the applicable campaign. If we’re doing any A/B versions or reusable modules, those come bundled too.

FAQs

How do you handle the design for both light and dark modes?
We consider contrast, colors, and imagery to ensure readability and appeal in any user-set theme. Dark mode is typically controlled by the email provider and varies depending on the email processor. We utilize specific techniques to ensure that the dark mode version of the email looks as seamless as the default mode.
What platform do you use for mockups?
We use Figma for all our design mockups. This platform allows for a collaborative and flexible design process, enabling quick iterations based on your feedback.
What is the turnaround time for an email campaign design?
Typically, the initial design concepts are ready within 2-5 days depending on the campaign complexity design-wise and amount of campaigns agreed upon.
How does A/B testing work, and how long does it take?
A/B testing involves creating multiple variations of your email to test elements like subject lines or call-to-action buttons. We run tests with a segment of your audience to determine the most effective version. Testing duration can vary but usually runs for a few days to two weeks, depending on your email send frequency and audience size.
What do you need from me to get started?
To begin, we’ll need access to your current email platform, details about your target audience, any brand guidelines, and the goals you want to achieve with the campaign.
How do you measure the success of an email campaign?
We use key performance indicators like open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates to measure the success of your email campaigns.
