Process
1. The Brief
During our initial exchange, you present your project in detail, and we collaborate using a questionnaire to establish a precise understanding of your needs, constraints, challenges, and objectives. This stage is crucial for aligning our vision and ensuring that we have a clear view of the project.
2. Quotation
After reviewing the project details, I provide you with a detailed quotation that includes the estimated cost, a production timeline estimation, and the anticipated deliverables. The quotation is flexible and can be adjusted based on your feedback and specific requirements.
3. Research and Inspiration
Before diving into the creation process, I conduct thorough inspirational research to develop creative ideas relevant to your video. I also analyze your company/brand/product to comprehend your visual identity and values. This research allows us to agree on the desired tone and deliver a mood board containing 1 or 2 artistic directions.
4. Scripting
Developing the script beforehand lays the foundation for the motion design video, ensuring that the narration or textual content seamlessly integrates into the final video. The script plays a pivotal role in message clarity and the video's impact, making it essential to give it particular attention.
5. Moodboard
A moodboard is a visual ambiance board, a collection of images and words used to express the chosen tone and style for a project. It provides an idea of the artistic direction a project is heading towards. This inspirational work and graphical research involving color, illustration style, typography, etc., will help us confirm the universe in which your visual identity will exist.
6. Scenario/Storyboard
Using the script, we collaboratively create a scenario/storyboard for your video. This allows us to visualize the sequence and narration, identify key elements to include, and ensure coherence with your objectives. It's generally a sequentially arranged table document that serves as the foundation for the project.
7. Graphic Design
Building upon the scenario or storyboard, I proceed with designing the graphic elements and creating each of the graphic frames to be animated. This step is crucial in establishing the visual style and overall aesthetics of the video. I'll send you initial graphic elements for validation before applying the artistic direction throughout the entire video.
8. Animation
Once the graphic design is approved, I move to the animation phase where all the elements come to life. I apply motion design techniques to create smooth transitions, impactful visual effects, and an engaging visual experience.
9. Editing and Sound
During the animation, I edit the motion design video by synchronizing visual elements with music, sound effects if present, and narration if a voiceover is included. This step adds an additional dimension to the video, making it captivating and professional.
10. Revisions
I present you with an initial version of the video to gather your feedback and suggestions. I consider your inputs and make necessary adjustments to ensure the video fully meets your expectations.
11. Delivery
Once revisions are made and the video is finalized, I deliver the file in the desired format, ready to be used on your chosen platforms.
12. Follow-up
I remain available for any follow-up or additional adjustments needed after delivering the motion design video.
