About this service
Summary
I will create a 2D or 3D animated explainer video. This can help clarify a product, process or software to your audience as well as educate them on something complex in your industry. We can work from an idea you have already or come up with one together.
Process
Concept - We work together to come up with a way to showcase and explain your idea. If you already have something more specific in mind, we iron out how to properly execute. This may involve creating style frames. If there is a voice over or narration involved, we need to come up with a script.
Storyboard / Previz - We need to establish the story and pacing of the animation early on so that we don't find ourselves going back to square one to often. I will create a rough storyboard to convey the look and pacing of the animation early on. If there's text on screen to supplement the video, we will try to finalize it here.
Assets - Depending on the agreed upon story, we begin to source assets to create the animation. Any assets already sourced such as illustrations, logos, photos, etc. are handed over and the rest are created.
Animation - This step can overlap with the previous depending on execution. I will put the assets together and get a good sense of timing. This is especially important if it needs to line up with audio. Once we establish a good pace, the style and animation is refined until we come up with a final product.
Revisions - Although it's nice when animations come together on the first try, more often than not, there are minor adjustments and tweaks that need to be made. Here is where we refine the product until it conveys your message properly. Ideally I like to limit my revisions to 3 per video, but that can always be discussed further if needed.
What's included
Video File
The final video will be rendered in a custom format depending on client needs. Multiple formats can be delivered upon request. The typical delivery is standard HD (1920x1080) mp4. The video should be under 5 minutes in length unless otherwise agreed upon.
Project Files
The original project files can be delivered as well for a small fee. If the project includes 3D elements, the image sequences will not be provided and must be rendered using the 3d file provided since sequences are too large to send.
