Process

I go through the raw footage and do 3 things: color grade, audio process, and cut down the footage to its necessary parts. This step involves a keen understanding of the content being edited.

I do a rough edit where I make sure the audio and video pacing is correct. This step can get tedious, but is one of the more important steps that require an attention to detail.

I do one final overall edit where I add graphics, titles, and more, depending on the project. This stage requires much creativity.

I watch the video a couple of times to ensure everything is right, and that includes everything from audio levels, to pacing, to graphics working properly and being times correctly.

At this point I send the project out for review and wait for comments, questions, or concerns.

How long does it take you to edit?
It depends on the project. For example, my personal Youtube channel's episodes take several hours of work to complete, while a short-form video could take under 4 hours to finish. Even still, a wedding video could take up to a week to complete! If you have questions about your desired video and how long it will take, reach out and we can talk about it more in depth!
Where did you learn your video editing skills?
I am completely self taught. I've loved video editing ever since I was a kid and have done editing consistently for about 5 years, with the most 2 years being professionally. I am always looking to expand my skill set, so couple that with being a fast learner, and that makes someone who is always ready!
