I come from a long list of applications I have used just for fun, and only a few I went back to or remembered from those. If I cut down the one that I use every day and is now ubiquitous, I am interested in what makes a product engaging, even if the user has no intention of using it for its primary objective. Those psychologically alluring tactics are the fruit of an actual user experience design.
