About this service

Summary

I will create your website in full across Desktop and mobile. Focusing on Best Practices and User Journeys to allow the best conversion rates and experience for your users.

Process

Start of the Project
Start with having a kick-off call allowing for the full understanding of the project, seeing what the necessities are as well as the inspiration behind their thoughts
Look through existing user journeys online as well as case studies (if provided) to then refine the stories and see where improvements can be made as well as common difficulties/errors to amend
Research fully into competitors and how their products/sites work, whilst noting down the positives and negatives to all - then using this data collectively in my wireframes and designs
Set up 1 or 2 different project brainstorm sessions where I will use the method I described above (Displaying 3 live examples & one created by myself) to narrow down the likes and dislikes from the team before moving fully into design
Wire-Framing
Move onto creating the first set of wireframes focusing on the main journey rather than the whole site whilst using the notes I have collected from my research into the competitors and existing products on the market
Following the creation of the whole user journey, I would then present the wires to the client/team and get the initial feedback on this as well as pitch all of the thoughts & reasonings behind each elect
After numerous rounds of amends going through the wireframes, I would then move onto the design stage once everyone is happy and ready to continue
Design stage 1
The first stage for me would be to create the homepage using the brand documents (If supplied) from the client to create a full look and feel of the project. Once I have completed the UI side of the page, I would make sure that the UX is as perfect as can be
I would also start to create a component library for the project to make sure that the whole project is consistent and easily accessible for users who wish to use
Following the completed design, I would take the elements of the page and create a homepage animation for the presentation to the client so that they can see how each area would look live and how the interactions for the main features would work
Once the video has been created, I would then lead a presentation with the team, where I would display the animation first and then slowly go through each area with the team gaining overall feedback on the design as well as specific areas
After numerous amends and calls following the homepage’s design, I would work towards getting this page signed off before we move forward with any other steps. Once the homepage is on its final round of amends, I would create a responsive design to also display to the client for an understanding of how it would look on responsive screens
Design Stage 2
Following the sign-off of the design, as well as the look and feel of the homepage, I then create the designs for the remainder of the main user journeys and set up a call within a week or two (Depending on the number of pages) with the client to run through the designs and gain amends.
(I would also set up a call once or twice a week with the client just for a progress update and general catchup)
Once the main user journey of the project has been designed and signed off, I would then continue on with the remainder of all the pages of the project. This would also include all active states, hover states, responsive designs, and style guides
After numerous calls, meetings, and presentations, the designs shall be signed off and I would then move on to preparing the designs for development
Development
In this stage, I would create as many possible component elements, style guides, functional requirements, detailed documents, and briefs as I can for the development team to ensure that once the handover is complete they will have everything they possibly need to continue with their side of the work
Once the handover is complete, I would set up bi-weekly calls to see how the project is moving forward as well as update the client with this news as well to keep them in the loop
Once the site/project has gone into staging, I will go through it and check all of the details, across all screens, to ensure that the client and the team I work with will be happy. If there are errors/areas which are desperate for amendments, I will create a design QA document for them to follow and give detailed documentation to make sure the correct state is shown
This process is repeated until perfect where I would then present the site to the client for their review
