About this service

Summary

I will assist by offering support in setting up and implementing GitOps repositories using Helm and Terraform in a GCP environment.
I will deliver a Git repository containing Terraform plans and Helm templates, which are pre-tested and integrated into a demo GCP project provided by your organization. The demo project will provide hands-on experience with the infrastructure components and can be used for local Kubernetes testing. I will also offer an optional CI/CD pipeline to automate the deployment process using GitHub Actions, which can be used as a starting point for further customization. 
This will provide your organization with benefits such as reduced cost and timely delivery, enabling organizations to quickly and efficiently implement DevOps practices in a GCP environment.

What's included

  • GitOps Repositories via Helm & Terraform

    You will receive a repo containing the GCP components in the form of Terraform plans. You will also receive Kubernetes definitions in the form of Helm templates. They will arrive tested and implemented in the GCP demo project described below.

  • GCP Demo Project

    A GCP project from your account and billing will be populated with the infrastructure components and handed off to you as part of delivery. Local Kubernetes testing will be performed whenever possible at no cost, however any necessary GCP components needed for integration testing will be billed to you. There will be an emphasis on timely delivery to reduce costs, but final GCP billing costs incurred for that project will be covered by your organization.

  • (Optional) Basic CI/CD Pipelines

    I will provide you with a basic, working, GitHub Actions pipeline, which will perform CI/CD on the above GitHub repositories, deploying code changes to the above GCP project. This can then be used as a template to build out your CI/CD flow going forward.
