Summary

High quality and custom character drawing in an anime style. This could be any existing fictional character or of family and friends.

Process

1- DESIGN CLARITY:
In this first stage, I will ask the client a series of questions so I can plan the drawing and visualise how exactly how they want their illustration to look. This step is also crucial in determining the overall prices with the client, the most important information being how much of the character they would like (portrait, full body .etc), what kind of style they want and whether they would like a sketch, fully coloured and rendered version or any of my other options.
This is a good opportunity for the client to pitch their request in detail to ensure less changes later on in the process, which could come with an additional cost since I allow 1 free change only for each step of the process.
I will also discuss purchasable extras such as backgrounds or additional characters within this stage.
The overall clarity discussion can take place over messages or on a call.
2 - UPFRONT PAYMENT
I require my clients to pay upfront, and can start the drawing as soon as I have received payment. Payment methods are discussed in the previous stage.
3 - CREATION:
After we have worked together to determine an idea of the illustration, I take to my drawing tablet and start working on the piece. I typically work in stages: rough sketch, defined sketch, line art, colour and then rendering. This process may vary depending on what the client would like as discussed in the previous stage, for example they may only request a sketch or line art illustration. The overall process can take up to 3 weeks maximum, but I consider myself to be quite flexible.
Once the client is happy with the final drawing, I will send over the illustration as a high resolution jpeg/ png file.

What's included

  • Character sketch

    A rough but high quality concept sketch of the character(s) and any background elements if requested. My sketches are full of personality and capture the essence of a character concept exceptionally. This will be sent to the client as a JPEG or PNG file in high resolution.

  • Character lineart

    A clear and carefully crafted line drawing of a character. This could be described as the outline of a drawing, using the sketch as a guide to create a more refined appearance. Typically done with a black brush pen in procreate making for a professional and sleek appearance. This will be sent to the client as a JPEG or PNG file in high resolution.

  • Flat colour illustration

    A character illustration in flat colours with no shading, highlights or rendering. Sent as a JPEG or PNG file in high resolution.

  • Full colour + rendered illustration

    A completed character illustration which has been carefully coloured and hand rendered with shade and highlights. Sent as a JPEG or PNG file in high resolution.
