About this service
Summary
I bring 10+ years of experience in the startup world, primarily as a developer and technical co-founder, I can help address the key questions that early-stage founders often face. Whether you're wondering which tools are reliable choices, how to prioritize features and functionality, what database to choose, whether to build or buy specific capabilities, or how to find and assess your first technical hires (both in terms of culture fit and technical skills), I've got you covered.
FAQs
Who is this for?
This is designed for semi-technical founders (or aspiring founders) who need help in formulating or validating a plan, or who require tactical support in making decisions about their app, website, startup tech stack, or development process.
What if I’m not technical at all?
No worries! We can still have a productive conversation. I can simplify complex tech tools and provide clear analogies to help you understand the technologies you're considering. Additionally, I can offer advice on where to learn more and what to consider when evaluating potential team members.
What if I need more or less time?
We can extend the time of the initial call, but it's often beneficial to take a break and revisit the discussion after you've had time to reflect—either the next day or later in the week. I’m usually available for follow-up calls with 1–2 weeks' notice, whether to review progress, explore new areas, or pivot to a different project or vertical.
What are the limitations or restrictions?
I cannot discuss or disclose any confidential information about my previous clients or employers, including Figma and Contra. If you’re developing a competing tool to these platforms, I’m likely unable to advise you at this time.
What's included
Startup Tech Stack Consultation
90-minute Google Meet or Zoom session to talk about your project, your company’s current stage, and the challenges and limitations you're facing both now and in the future (in broad terms). During this call, we'll pinpoint areas that would benefit from further exploration or collaboration. The time can be spent reviewing potential tools or tech stacks, discussing strategies for building a particular feature, assessing the strength of an existing plan, or even exploring methods for finding and evaluating candidates (by the way, Contra is a great resource for that!). You’ll have the chance to ask any questions, and we can continue the conversation with follow-up sessions as needed or desired.
