My goal is to help you create a final young adult manuscript that is ready for submission for agents or publishing houses. I work with authors who are both in the idea phase or those who have a completed manuscript that needs work. During the process, I will also offer industry advice based on my experience as an Associate Publisher.
What's included
Initial assessment
I work with people who have both partial and full manuscripts. The initial assessment will involve me reading the manuscript in its entirety and providing you a breakdown of your major plot points. From there, I met with you to discuss the areas where the story most needs work. We then decide on a schedule to heavily edit, rewrite, or create new writing, to help transform the book into its best version.
Developmental edits as you write.
We will break the book into 3-6 portions. As you rewrite or write each section, I’ll then review it and offer both line edits and overall comments.
Final over arching edit.
Once the entire manuscript is complete or has been fully edited, I’ll do a final review to point out and additional missing elements, check for continuity, and make minor line edits where needed.
