I charge 5 cents a word, so content at 1,000 words would be $500. However, depending on the type of editing you need, the price may change.
Proofreading – I give your content a final edit to check for grammar mistakes and typos. The least time consuming.
Copyediting – A step beyond proofreading, I will make some small changes to fix the overall flow, accuracy, and formatting of the content. If you have a specific style guide you must adhere to (e.g. MLA, Chicago, APA, AP), I will check that.
Developmental editing – I give you feedback on the overall flow of your piece and suggest changes
Structural editing – I check the overall flow of your piece and make the changes for you (i.e. rewriting it). The most time consuming of these options.

Example Process
Project kickoff – We discuss what level of editing you'd like and your goals for your content.
Initial edits – Comprehensive editing based on your needs.
Review – You’ll be sent the edits ahead of time, but we’ll review them together to understand the changes I made and suggestions for reworking the content.
Subsequent revisions – After you approve the changes and do a rewrite, I can do future edits with you as you’d like.
