Three failure modes account for most of what quietly breaks n8n workflows in production. This is those three, built as importable workflows against your setup, plus a harness that proves they work.
1. IDEMPOTENT UPSERT - a repeated webhook or a retry cannot create a second record. Uses the database as the arbiter, not a check-then-insert that races itself.
2. RETRY WITH DEAD-LETTER - backoff on the calls that rate-limit, and a dead-letter route so a failed run surfaces somewhere you will actually see it instead of disappearing.
3. UNKNOWN-STATE RESOLVER - when an external call times out you do not know whether it succeeded. This marks it unknown and resolves it by querying the provider for your idempotency key, rather than retrying and charging someone twice.
Plus an acceptance-test harness so you can run each pattern in your own instance and watch it pass - including the cases where it must refuse rather than guess.
Built to order against your stack within 3 business days, so the patterns match your actual database and the services you call. You get the workflows and notes written for whoever maintains them next.
Straight about what this is: these are patterns I have implemented and written about publicly, packaged to order - not an off-the-shelf product with a customer list behind it. No reviews on this profile yet.
