Dockerize & CI for your Node.js appJonathan Scott
Cover image for Dockerize & CI for your Node.js app
Your app works on your machine, but deploying it is a manual, slightly nervous process. This fixes that in two or three days.
I'll containerize your Node.js service with a production Dockerfile — multi-stage build so the image stays small, a non-root runtime user, a health check, and correct signal handling so a deploy doesn't kill work mid-request. Then a GitHub Actions workflow that builds and validates the image on every push and pull request, so a broken build fails before it reaches production instead of after.
YOU GET • Production Dockerfile • .dockerignore that keeps secrets and local dependencies out of the image • GitHub Actions workflow with layer caching • README section covering build, run, and deploy
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU Repo access and a short description of how the app currently runs.
GOOD FIT IF You have a working Node.js service and no container or pipeline yet.
