Process

In this personal project, I took charge of the entire UI/UX process, addressing both user problems and business needs. Fueled by a genuine passion for problem-solving, I aimed to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) experience, drawing inspiration from my family's ownership of an EV.
User Problems Addressed:
Improving Payment Transparency: Recognizing the need for greater transparency, I focused on refining the payment process for charging sessions.
Ease in Finding Charging Stations: Addressing the common challenge of locating charging stations, I aimed to streamline the user's ability to find them effortlessly.
Availability Information: Acknowledging the importance of real-time information, I sought to provide users with up-to-date availability status for charging stations.
Business Metrics Targeted:
Improving Conversion Rate of Charging Sessions: Aligning with business objectives, I strategized ways to boost the conversion rate of charging sessions, enhancing overall business performance.
Background and Inspiration:Owning an EV within my family, I intimately understood the challenges users face. My dual role as a designer and EV enthusiast inspired me to create a solution. While I couldn't personally develop the system, my focus on design aimed to solve these problems conceptually.
Research Approach:
Primary Research: I initiated primary research within my family, gathering insights from their EV experiences. Additionally, I consulted friends who also owned EVs, ensuring diverse perspectives.
Secondary Research: Complementing primary insights, I delved into online materials and information, conducting secondary research to validate and enrich my understanding.
Competitive Analysis: To ensure a comprehensive approach, I conducted a competitive analysis, identifying best practices and potential differentiators.
Design Process:
Armed with insights, I crafted user flows, sitemaps, and information architecture, establishing a clear structure.
Leveraging the gathered data, I defined a cohesive design language that balanced aesthetics and functionality, aligning with both user needs and business goals.
This project reflects my commitment to solving real-world problems through thoughtful design, offering a conceptual solution to improve the EV charging experience.
