We will set up an initial call to discuss the scope of your project and specific goals and timelines. Once I have all media I will review and begin putting together a rough cut for you to review. Most notes and feedback can be submitted back to me digitally but I'm always open to talk through it if you prefer. Generally, we will land on a final approved edit with one or two rounds of revisions and feedback.
Remote production is here to stay. With collaboration tools like Zoom, Asana, Slack and a variety of review options it's becoming a smooth process to keep the production moving. I've worked on projects where I am the point for all post work and I've worked jointly with Graphics, Audio and other departments sending materials back and forth.
For unscripted projects without a storyboard, I will start by sorting through the 'must haves' in the b-roll and interviews. Great soundbites or comments, stunning visuals, and lastly things that I find interesting that may or may not fit but I want to keep them in mind. I then start to build the story and find what is the best fit and what scenes play off each other and transition well. I spent years as a camera operator and have a good idea of what I’m looking for visually to tell a story.
